The Cooper's Hawk is a medium-sized raptor found most often in deciduous woodlands throughout the lower 48 states, the southern Canadian provinces in summer, and south through Mexico in the winter. Its prey consists primarily of woodland birds but smaller mammals and reptiles are also a part of its diet. |
